So first off, we watched 17 Miracles last night and I cried through the entire thing because it is so powerful. Even in Spanish! But also I saw at least 17 miracles in my life this week. I don't have time to write all the little ones, but one of the biggest ones I will share...
So we had been helping one of our investigators look for a room to rent and on Tuesday we heard from the bishop's wife that she knew someone who had rooms for rent. So we were planning on telling our investigator later that day. But we were on our way to another appointment when we decided to street contact this girl with her baby in a stroller. We started talking and she was walking around looking for a room to rent...!!!! So we told her we actually knew someone! We took her over to that room and she met a bunch of members and the bishop. Then we took her to some more rooms we knew of and got to know her some more. Her name is Heidy and her baby is Benjamin!
Even though we didn't find a room right then, we set a time to visit her, although it was during the day we were doing intercambios so I wouldn't be there! But intercambios came and I saw about a million little miracles that day in the contacts we made, the lessons we taught, and in my studies. When intercambios finished, I found out that my compañera hadn't been able to visit Heidy so I got to go with her the next day!

It was a miracle that we got into the apartment complex she lives in and a miracle we found her room. But we did! And we started talking with her and playing with Benjamin. She began to relate some really hard trials in her life to us, and we taught the Atonement, but she needed something else. I got the impression to ask if she believed Christ performed miracles and if she believed He could perform miracles today, and she said yes. She has a super strong testimony. Then I had the impression to ask if we could pray together for a miracle, and it was somehow decided that I would offer the prayer...AHHH!!!! I was freaking out because I still don't know the language very well and I had no clue what I was going to say but we knelt and I began my prayer. I don't remember a lot of what I said but I asked that Heidy would be able to see miracles in her life and that we could be a miracle for her. More than anything I remember the intense spirit that was in the room. My heart was completely full of the spirit telling me what to ask for and how to say it. Wow. Then after the prayer we introduced her to The Book of Mormon and gave her a copy (which was a miracle that my companion thought to bring a copy that morning). I know that she was put in our way so we could help her and be a miracle for her. Also she was a miracle reminder to me of my purpose here. I love being a missionary and I love Bolivia!

Fun facts...
The doorways are shorter here so I feel like I have to watch my head!
They don't have a problem with personal hygiene here... if anything they use way too much cologne!
They don't have insulation in the walls so you can hear everything outside and it is super cold inside!
{Ha! You can see why she thinks she needs to watch her head in doorways... tall & beautiful. =) }

Helping her find a place to live is true service and, I believe, exactly what Jesus Christ would do. This example of pure love will go far in sharing the gospel. God does grant miracles when we seek them and often unlooked for. The people desperately need the gospel in so many ways. What a wonderful time for you.
